Releaf Freedom is a unisex award-winning portable urinal that enables everyone, but especially elderly and less able patients, to urinate comfortably whether standing or seated. It enables users to manage their toileting independently and with dignity by ensuring they are never more than an arm’s length from a toilet.
The large handle makes it easy to hold for those with poor manual dexterity, for example, arthritis sufferers. Its carefully designed top surface creates a leakproof seal for females, even while seated.
The disposable bags turn urine into a solid gel in about 45 seconds.
Releaf Freedom uses a unique mechanism that enables the disposable bags to be attached and detached from the handle with one-hand – ideal for users who have reduced use of their hands, for example, some stroke patients.
The device is designed with a particular focus on the needs of those with limited manual dexterity, physical mobility and/or vision. It is intended as an alternative to, or to complement, worn absorbent products, bedpans and urinal bottles. It is suitable for users who have some control over their urinating, but not those who have none.
